Its backer specializes in consolidating fragmented service industries across the U.S. and has a track record of scaling platforms substantially while keeping founders' businesses intact. The platform's own team is a small, hands-on group of operators who work directly with the general managers running each partner company. This role leads one of the platform's Bay Area operating companies, a business that values results, integrity, and putting customers first. About the Role We are seeking a commercially minded General Manager to lead the company's operations in the San Francisco area. This leader will have full accountability for the performance of the business, including revenue growth, profitability, operational execution, customer experience, and team development. This is a business-building role for an operator who knows how to grow an existing service organization. You will own the operating P&L, identify opportunities to expand market share, strengthen referral and customer relationships, improve sales execution, and ensure the operation can successfully support continued growth. You will also establish clear performance expectations, develop leaders, and build a culture of accountability across the organization. Supported by the platform's leadership team and a network of General Managers across the partner companies, you will have access to the resources and expertise needed to accelerate growth while strengthening operational performance. The right leader will bring commercial instincts, operational discipline, and the ability to translate strategy into measurable results. Responsibilities Own the overall performance of the business, with full accountability for revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, operational execution, customer experience, and team performance. Develop and execute a market-level growth strategy that increases revenue, expands market share, and strengthens the company's competitive position in the San Francisco market. Build a consistent sales and business-development operating cadence, including pipeline visibility, forecasting, performance metrics, and clear accountability for results. Strengthen and expand relationships with referral partners, customers, and other local market stakeholders to generate sustainable organic growth. Identify new customer segments, referral channels, service opportunities, and geographic expansion opportunities that align with the company's capabilities and growth objectives. Ensure operational capacity, staffing, processes, and service delivery keep pace with growth while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction. Analyze financial and operating performance to identify opportunities to improve pricing, productivity, cost management, gross margin, and overall profitability. Build, coach, and retain a high-performing leadership team capable of delivering both commercial and operational results. Establish clear goals and performance expectations across the business, using data and operating metrics to reinforce accountability and guide decisions. Develop an initial assessment of the business and its highest-value growth opportunities within the first 60 days, followed by a prioritized 90-day action plan. Increase the company's visibility and reputation within the community, positioning it as a preferred provider of restoration services. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety requirements, and platform policies. Requirements Must-Haves Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. An MBA is preferred. 8+ years of progressive leadership experience with responsibility for business operations, financial performance, and team leadership, ideally within restoration, home services, field services, or another distributed service environment. Demonstrated success growing an existing business through organic revenue generation, market expansion, referral development, and disciplined sales execution. Proven experience owning and managing a P&L, including revenue forecasting, budgeting, margin improvement, and delivery of EBITDA targets. Ability to balance commercial growth with operational capacity, service quality, and profitability. Experience building performance expectations, sales processes, operating rhythms, and accountability within an evolving organization. Strong understanding of local relationship-based selling and the ability to develop durable referral and customer partnerships. Track record of building, coaching, and retaining high-performing teams and leaders. Strong financial acumen, commercial judgment, and ability to translate market opportunities into executable plans.
