Job Summary The Mail Department Operator manages outgoing mail, ensuring accurate sorting, timely distribution, and proper documentation. Location: Onsite role in Springfield, VA Schedule: 1:00 - 9:00pm Pay Range: $21 - 27.50 USD/hourly What You'll Do... Operate processes for outgoing mail from our facility Read and understand paper and electronic job orders and process jobs according to specifications Be accountable for quality, on time work Run and coordinate work in the operation of all mailroom equipment Maintains mail machinery in working order, clearing jams in equipment and operating computers Maintain an accurate record of all mail processed and distributed Other duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Experience running mailing inserter machines required Proven experience in an administrative role is an advantage Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail and records Familiarity with postal regulations, procedures, and mail sorting technologies Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and vendors Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off Short Term & Long-Term Disability Training & Development Wellness Resources
