Take the necessary time to recover and feel better.   Annual   credit:   Spend   it   on   the   perks   you   love   to   enhance   your   work-life   balance.   Team-building activities:   Join us for coffee breaks, tech talks, and after-work gatherings to bond with your   Nortal   family and feel part of our vibrant community.   Birthday off:   Enjoy an extra day off during your birthday week to celebrate in style with friends and family.   About the project   As a n   AEM Backend Developer , you  will work closely with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to design and implement customized backend solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), translating business requirements into high-quality, production-ready code .   What   you’ll   do   Design, develop, and implement backend AEM solutions including custom OSGi bundles, Sling Models, Sling Servlets, and workflow components .   Build and maintain AEM content structures using JCR/Oak, Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, and DAM integrations .   Develop and  optimize  HTL (Sightly) templates in collaboration with  frontend  teams, ensuring clean separation of concerns .   Integrate AEM with third-party systems and APIs, including RESTful and  GraphQL  services .   Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers on  AEM  backend best practices .   Collaborate with architects to contribute to solution design decisions and technical documentation .   Debug, profile, and  optimize  AEM performance at the  component , page, and infrastructure level .   Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement) .   Communicate delivery status, technical risks, and blockers effectively to team leads and client stakeholders .   Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and deployment automation using Maven and Cloud Manager .   What makes you a great fit   🎯   Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or   a related   field.   5 + Years of experience working  in backend software development .   3 +  Y ears of experi enc e   with  Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x and/or AEM as a Cloud Service) .   Strong  proficiency  in Java, with solid understanding of OSGi/Felix framework and Sling architecture .   Experience building and  maintaining  Sling Models, Sling Servlets, OSGi services, and custom AEM components .   Solid knowledge of JCR/Apache Oak content repository and AEM data modeling best practices .   Experience with AEM DAM, Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, and Multi-Site Manager (MSM) .   Familiarity with HTL (Sightly) and server-side rendering patterns in AEM .   Experience with Maven-based build pipelines and AEM package management (CRXDE, Package Manager) .   Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration patterns within AEM .   Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments .   A ctive use of AI coding tools as part of daily development workflow  (Windsurf and Claude).   Advanced English Level is   required   for this role,   as you will work with US clients. Effective communication in English is essential to deliver the best solutions to our clients and expand your horizons.     Global Impact, Local Culture   🌍   For over 25 years,   we’ve   been shaping digital transformation, delivering complex solutions for global enterprises and public sector organizations.
