A leading telecom company is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead the company’s occupational health and safety strategy, ensuring a safe working environment across offices, branches, warehouses, technical sites, and field operations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement the company’s safety policies, procedures, and programs in line with local regulations and international standards. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements across all company facilities and operational sites. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Identify potential workplace hazards and develop appropriate preventive and control measures. Oversee safety requirements for telecom sites, maintenance activities, construction projects, and field operations. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Develop and conduct safety training, awareness programs, emergency drills, and toolbox talks. Ensure contractors and service providers comply with the company’s HSE and safety requirements. Monitor and improve emergency preparedness, fire safety, evacuation, and crisis response procedures. Maintain safety records, reports, KPIs, and relevant documentation. Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and regulatory authorities on safety-related matters. Promote a strong safety culture across the organization. Lead and develop the safety team and ensure effective implementation of safety initiatives. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. 7–10 years of experience in occupational health and safety, with experience in a managerial role. Experience in telecommunications, construction, utilities, industrial, or large-scale organizations is preferred. Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety management systems. Professional HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA , or equivalent are highly preferred. Experience managing contractor and field safety. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to conduct safety audits, inspections, investigations, and training programs. Strong knowledge of emergency response and business continuity procedures.
