In this role, you will support a broad range of sustainability initiatives across COFRA and gain hands-on experience in how sustainability is embedded into business decision-making.   This is a great opportunity for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented and passionate about sustainability - but also eager to bring fresh thinking, an open mind and their own perspective to the team.   What you can achieve with us   As a Sustainable Impact Intern, you will support the team across a variety of topics, including climate, nature and biodiversity, human rights, responsible use of Artificial Intelligence, sustainability regulation and impact initiatives across the COFRA Group. Your work will contribute to how COFRA and its businesses create positive impact for people, society and the planet.   Your work may include:   Supporting climate data collection, analysis, calculation and projections across different businesses   Conducting research on climate transition plans, decarbonisation levers, sustainability trends, technologies and investments   Helping assess sustainability-related risks, impacts and opportunities, including topics linked to nature and biodiversity   Supporting research into the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence, including its social and environmental implications   Screening and researching climate and nature-related investment opportunities, including carbon removal projects   Supporting the development and implementation of sustainability frameworks, policies and strategies   Contributing to COFRA’s human rights work through research, stakeholder engagement and preparation of presentations   Monitoring upcoming sustainability regulation, webinars, literature and best practices, and translating insights into clear summaries for the team   Maintaining and developing a database of ideas to further improve sustainable impact across COFRA   Supporting COFRA’s impact community by helping with knowledge sharing, content curation and coordination of community meetings   You will work mainly with the Sustainable Impact team, while also having opportunities to connect with colleagues from other teams such as Data & Analytics, Strategy, Risk Management and COFRA’s different businesses.   What we are looking for   We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working with both research and data, and is comfortable exploring topics that are still developing. You do not need to know everything already - but you should be curious, proactive and motivated to build your knowledge.   Requirements   Currently enrolled in a relevant Master's programme, preferably in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Finance, Economics, Data, Business or a related field   Fluent in English, both written and spoken   Strong Microsoft Office skills   Available for a minimum of 6 months; full-time availability is preferred   Eligible to undertake an internship in the Netherlands for the duration of the internship. Please note that candidates must have the appropriate work authorisation and/or visa status required to complete the internship.   We believe the best ideas come from people connecting in person, which is why we value human interaction and require employees to work from the office at least three days per week.    What will help you thrive in this role   A genuine interest in sustainability, climate change, nature and biodiversity, responsible AI and sustainable business   An affinity for research, data analysis and working with complex or ambiguous information   A structured and detail-oriented approach to your work   The ability to turn research and insights into practical, clear and concise outputs   Curiosity about how Artificial Intelligence can be applied responsibly and effectively in a sustainability context   A proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative   The confidence to bring your own ideas, perspectives and constructive challenge   The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a diverse team environment   Previous experience in sustainability, consulting, project management, finance, strategy, data or another relevant field is a plus, but not essential.   What we offer you   During this internship, you will gain practical experience in how sustainability is integrated into business-as-usual across a diverse international group.   You will join a collaborative and ambitious Sustainable Impact team where your work can contribute to real projects and ongoing initiatives.
