The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “ Cyber Security Specialist | Ειδικός Κυβερνοασφάλειας ” , for its premises in Thessaloniki. I The position will report to the IT Manager of the Information Technology Department, based in Thessaloniki. Main Responsibilities:    Act as the local cybersecurity specialist for Hellas Gold stakeholders. Coordinate and execute local implementation of Global Cybersecurity initiatives, standards, and awareness activities. Support communication between local IT, site stakeholders, vendors, and the Global Cybersecurity team. Escalate cybersecurity issues, risks, and blockers through the appropriate local and Global Cybersecurity channels. Support the local adoption of Eldorado Gold cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures. Assist with evidence gathering and local follow-up for cybersecurity governance, cyber insurance, audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements, including GDPR where applicable. Identify local gaps or implementation challenges and coordinate follow-up actions with the IT Manager and Global Cybersecurity team. Support local incident response activities under the direction of Global Cybersecurity and the applicable incident response process. Assist with incident documentation, evidence preservation, communication coordination, and follow-up actions. Coordinate with local IT, business stakeholders, Legal, Communications, and vendors during cybersecurity events, as directed. Support containment, recovery, and remediation activities where local coordination or technical assistance is required. Track remediation actions arising from vulnerability scans, penetration tests, security assessments, incidents, audits, or Global Cybersecurity reviews. Follow up with local IT, system owners, and vendors to support timely remediation and provide status updates. Assist the Global Cybersecurity team with local context, evidence, and validation support for compliance and remediation activities. Requirements:    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Business with Technology Management, or a related field. CISSP certification is preferred but not mandatory. Professional certifications such as Security+, CEH, GIAC, or equivalent are highly valued. Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, security operations, infrastructure, systems administration, IT risk/compliance, or a related technology role. Experience working with IT operations, vendors, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Practical understanding of cybersecurity controls, incident response support, vulnerability remediation, endpoint/network security, identity and access management, and security awareness. Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills. Valid driving license. Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
