The People & Culture team at SI-BONE has an opening for an Associate People & Culture Business Partner and is seeking an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about both people and operational efficiency.  As an Associate P&C Business Partner at SI-BONE, you will serve as a trusted advisor to department leaders across the organization — helping translate business strategy into people practices. You will own a broad range of business partnering responsibilities while building deep expertise in a high-growth, mission-driven medical device environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver P&C programs that drive organizational effectiveness, support our culture, and enable every employee to do their best work. Location: Must be local to SF Bay Area and willing to be on-site in our Santa Clara offices a minimum of 4 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) with the ability and willingness to be on-site on Fridays based on business needs .   SI-BONE® is focused on helping patients in one of the most under-served, under-diagnosed, and under-treated areas in orthopedics, the sacroiliac (SI) joint. SI-BONE developed an innovative, patented implant to fuse the SI joint. The iFuse Implant System® provides a less invasive alternative to traditional sacroiliac (SI) joint fusion surgery and has been used in over 90,000 procedures to date.  We are a medical device company that is focused on improving the lives of patients with sacroiliac pelvic conditions. We are also looking for people who are:  Agile: We work in a fast-paced environment and need to be able to learn and adapt to change quickly.  Creative: We embrace creativity, and we need people who are not afraid to challenge the status quo.  Team Players: We roll-up our sleeves and work together as one team to achieve our goals.    Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:       Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management Build trusted advisor relationships with managers and leaders, helping them navigate complex people challenges with confidence Partner with Finance on offer approvals, and compensation budgeting Align talent strategies to business goals by collaborating across functions Serve as a knowledgeable resource on policies, procedures, and compliance, escalating to legal counsel when needed Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Advise on job leveling, role design, and internal mobility to support long-term workforce planning Employee Relations & Investigations Conduct fair, thorough, and timely workplace investigations — from intake through resolution and documentation Guide managers through performance improvement plans (PIPs), disciplinary actions, and terminations with professionalism and compliance rigor Proactively identify employee relations trends and recommend systemic solutions before issues escalate Performance & Talent Management Support the design and execution of performance management cycles Coach managers on setting clear goals, delivering effective feedback, and fostering accountable teams Support managers in identifying and addressing talent needs, developing key talent, and managing talent gaps Rewards & Benefits Support compensation reviews and benchmarking processes to ensure market-competitive pay practices Guide and support managers through annual performance and merit cycle review Culture, Inclusion & Engagement Champion SI-BONE's culture by partnering on employee engagement surveys and action planning Contribute to programs that make SI-BONE a recognized best place to work in medtech Maintain a visible, approachable presence across the business Learning & Development Develop and conduct training programs for employees as needed Experience & Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 5+ years of progressive P&C experience, with at least 3 years in a Generalist or equivalent advisory capacity, preferably in a startup medical device environment Demonstrated experience across multiple HR disciplines: talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, investigations, performance management, DEI, and talent development Background in medical device, biotech, or other regulated industries strongly preferred Experience thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities shift and ambiguity is the norm Knowledge & Skills Solid understanding of employment law, leave administration, and benefits fundamentals Proficiency with HRIS and ATS platforms — experience with ADP Workforce Now and Greenhouse a plus Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Exceptional communication and influencing skills — able to adjust style from frontline employee to senior executive Analytical mindset: comfortable using data and metrics to drive decisions and tell a compelling people story Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously   Who You Are A trusted partner — people seek you out because they know you'll give them honest, thoughtful guidance A relationship builder — you invest in understanding the business and earn credibility through follow-through A problem-solver — you bring solutions, not just analysis Resilient and adaptable — you stay calm under pressure and help others do the same Deeply committed to doing what's right for employees and for the business Team player, adaptable Salary range:   The compensation range for this position is specific to the location and is in good faith what SI-BONE expects to pay for the position considering the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.        $100,000 - 120,000 (California – SF Bay Area)     Supplemental pay:  bonus and stock                 There are potential risks associated with the iFuse Implant System.
