Parallel Employment Group is excited to partner with a medical manufacturer in the Buffalo, NY area in looking for qualified maintenance mechanic to join the team. In this role, you will be working on day to day maintenance of equipment as well as emergency repairs when equipment goes down. You will have the opportunity to utilize many of your mechanical skills, from small electrical repairs, ability to repair and restart parts of the production line quickly and replace parts. Shift: 1st shift, 7:00am-3:30pm with flexibility Pay Rate: $20 to $30+ an hour depending on experience and related skills Responsibilities Where ISO procedures are inaccurate, work with supervision and engineering to facilitate document changes  Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all manufacturing equipment and mechanical systems  Observe machinery in operation to identify causes of malfunction  Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective components  Adjust mechanical devices and control instruments  Install structural and functional parts on machinery  Operate and test equipment to verify performance  Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime  Perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions  Assist other maintenance mechanics, engineers and operators on projects and major repairs as needed  Requirements Mechanical and electrical aptitude   Ability to read and comprehend blueprints simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.    Ability to write simple correspondence.    Ability to effectively present information to one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.    Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.    Ability to manufacture, modify, and repair precision components and tooling to tight tolerances  Experience interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications  Familiar with drilling, tapping, boring, grinding, and other machining operations  Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work  Experience operating manual and/or CNC lathes, mills, drill presses, and other precision machining equipment  Ability to fabricate, repair, and modify machine parts, tooling, fixtures, and components as needed to support production and maintenance activities  Parallel Employment Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer #IND456
