This role is for one of Weekday’s clients Min Experience: 7+ years Location: Chennai JobType: full-time We are looking for a hands-on Tech Lead to drive technical direction, solve complex engineering problems, and help build scalable, reliable, high-quality software for our AI + IoT platform. Requirements Responsibilities • Provide technical leadership and guidance to software engineers. • Design and review scalable software architectures and system designs. • Stay hands-on with coding and solve complex technical problems. • Drive technical decisions across APIs, databases, cloud, and application architecture. • Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and performance. • Identify and resolve technical risks, bottlenecks, and architectural challenges. • Mentor engineers and help raise the team's technical capabilities. • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions. • Improve system reliability, scalability, observability, and engineering practices. Requirements • 7+ years of software engineering experience.• Strong hands-on programming and system design experience. • Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, databases, and cloud technologies. • Experience making and owning technical architecture decisions. • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. • Experience with code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices. • Excellent communication and mentoring skills. Nice to Have • Experience with SaaS, AI/ML, or data-driven products. • Experience with Python and modern backend technologies. • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure. • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. • Experience working in a fast-growing startup environment.
