Requirements Overview Dane Street is seeking experienced Orthopedic Surgeons licensed in Louisiana to join our growing team of independent physician reviewers. In this role, you will apply your orthopedic expertise to conduct comprehensive medical record reviews and provide objective, evidence-based clinical opinions. This is a fully remote opportunity that allows you to customize your schedule while working as a 1099 independent contractor. Position Description Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing medical records, preparing clear clinical summaries, engaging in peer-to-peer communications when necessary, and responding to client-specific questions related to orthopedic conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, treatment plans, surgical interventions, causation, impairment, and disability-related determinations. Areas of Expertise General Orthopedic Surgery Musculoskeletal Injuries and Disorders Fracture Care and Trauma Joint Degenerative Conditions Sports Medicine Injuries Surgical and Non-Surgical Orthopedic Management Impairment and Disability Evaluations Return-to-Work Assessments Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery Current, unrestricted Louisiana medical license Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Orthopedic Surgery Ability to attend required orientation and training sessions Maintain all applicable licensure, certifications, and credentialing requirements Benefits Independent contractor (1099) role with flexible scheduling Ability to choose case types and workload based on availability No physician-patient relationship is established; no treatment is provided—all reviews are advisory only Streamlined case flow through a secure online portal Administrative support provided, including medical record organization and case preparation Fully prepared cases with chronological records and applicable clinical guidelines Training, ongoing support, and a dedicated point of contact provided
