The Role…  At Soho House, a Sushi Chef will consistently produce dishes that reflect authenticity, creativity, and quality, while maintaining food safety standards and contributing positively to the kitchen team. This role will also involve working closely with the Head Chef to innovate and refine sushi offerings for the Club’s diverse clientele Y our main responsibility will be for the preparation, crafting, and presentation of high-quality sushi dishes, sashimi, and Japanese-inspired small plates. Whether you’re seeking entry-level employment or a new opportunity to expand your profession, we offer training to develop the technical and managerial skills necessary to enhance your career Key duties… Maintain quality control in terms of portion sizes, presentation, taste, and texture.  Uphold excellent hygiene and food safety standards in line with HACCP and club policies, with particular care for allergens and dietary requests.  Be flexible in assisting other areas of the kitchen when required. Monitor quality and freshness of fish and seafood; report issues with inventory or quality to management   Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu development, portion control, and food costing.  Prepare sushi dishes including nigiri, maki, sashimi, and hand rolls to specification .  Ensure daily setup of sushi station and mise en place, including fish filleting, rice preparation, and garnish prep     Engage with team and FOH staff to explain menu items and help deliver a premium guest experience   .  Maintain appropriate stock levels of sushi-grade fish and essential ingredients .  What we are looking for... A successful Sushi Chef for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.   Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Japanese cuisine in a high-profile restaurant or private club setting.  Proven ability to lead a kitchen section and mentor junior staff.  Quality & Presentation: Sushi dishes consistently meet visual and flavour standards; high guest satisfaction   .  Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously The salary range for this role if filled within the UK is listed below. The range for the position in different geographies may vary based on market differences. Pay Range £17.50 — £17.50 GBP
