What’s on offer: Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour Shift Pattern: 4-on/ 2-off 14:00pm to 22:00pm Weekly Pay (every Friday) Full Training provided. Immediate Start! Temp to Perm (performance related) Key Duties: Change out all bins in both landside and airside areas of Manchester Airport. Segregate waste materials in designated service yards according to recycling and disposal protocols. Ensure that all waste collection, segregation, and disposal activities comply with environmental and safety regulations. Manage and maintain Foreign Object Debris (FOD) bins and oil bins to ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials. Monitor and report any issues related to waste management, bin collection, and hazardous waste to the supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all assigned areas. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient waste management operations. Represent Mitie and Manchester Airport positively by providing excellent service and maintaining professional conduct at all times. Requirements: Full UK Driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and must have been held for more than a year. Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy bins. Ability to obtain and maintain an airport ID, which includes passing necessary background checks and security clearances. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Strong attention to detail, ensuring high cleaning standards are consistently met. Great work ethic. Excellent communication skills. Must be over 18. Previous airport and/or cleaning experience would be beneficial. PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.
