The Role: Placements AI is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Senior Enterprise Sales Engineer to join our growing APAC team based in Sydney, Australia. As a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, you will partner closely with Enterprise Account Executives, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Solutions teams to help prospective customers understand how Placements AI can solve complex advertising workflow challenges. You will lead technical discovery, product demonstrations, solution design, proof-of-concept engagements, and implementation planning for enterprise media organisations, retail media networks, and advertising businesses. This role requires a unique combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and exceptional communication skills. Our platform includes AdSalesOS, which enables publishers and retail media networks to manage advertising sales, operations, billing, and revenue reporting, and MarketerOS, which empowers brands and agencies to plan, execute, optimize, and measure advertising investments across multiple channels. Together, our products create a connected ecosystem that helps customers automate complex workflows, improve operational efficiency, and scale their advertising businesses.   The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, enjoys solving customer problems, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment. Responsibilities: Partner with Enterprise Account Executives throughout the sales process to drive technical validation and solution alignment Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer workflows, requirements, integrations, and business objectives Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to customer use cases and industry challenges Design and present scalable technical solutions leveraging the Placements AI platform Lead proof-of-concept engagements and pilot programs for prospective customers Respond to technical questions related to integrations, APIs, security, architecture, and implementation approaches Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to ensure successful customer outcomes Support RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, and technical due diligence processes Provide implementation planning and onboarding guidance during the transition from pre-sales to post-sales teams Act as a subject matter expert on digital advertising workflows, ad operations, retail media, and publisher technology ecosystems Deliver technical workshops, customer training sessions, and executive presentations when required Provide feedback from prospective customers and existing customers to Product and Engineering teams to help inform future roadmap priorities Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, Solutions Architecture, Professional Services, or Technical Consulting roles Experience supporting enterprise SaaS sales cycles and complex technical evaluations Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, data workflows, and cloud-based software platforms Experience working with digital advertising technology, ad operations, media platforms, retail media, ad serving, CRM, ERP, or revenue management systems is highly preferred Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Experience leading customer-facing presentations, workshops, and executive-level discussions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Experience working with cross-functional teams to support large enterprise transactions Benefits Include: Competitive salary and variable compensation Superannuation Comprehensive health benefits Early-stage stock options Flexible work environment Company laptop Mobile phone reimbursement Gym membership reimbursement Professional development opportunities Regular company lunches, social events, and team activities Why Join Placements AI? Compensation: Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and represent one part of the compensation, benefits, and other opportunities we provide. The expected base salary range for this role in Sydney is AUD $187,000–$192,000, exclusive of superannuation, plus variable compensation. The salary offered will be based on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and business needs.
