We are currently seeking a Risk Management Specialist to join our team at our headquarters in Philadelphia, PA. This is a senior role responsible for managing contractual and insurance risk across the organization, providing strategic guidance to project teams and leadership, and building scalable processes that support the company's continued growth Role & Responsibilities: Contract & RFP review leadership: review, negotiate, and advise on prime and subconsultant terms (indemnity, standard of care, limitation of liability, flow-down, ownership of documents, warranties) Insurance strategy & broker coordination: own the relationship with the insurance broker; evaluate contract-specific insurance obligations, confirm coverage availability, and advise on pricing when supplemental coverage is required Certificate of Insurance (COI) compliance: oversee subconsultant COI collection and tracking (e.g. Trustlayer), ensuring limits match Burns' contractual obligations Process & tools: own and improve the contract review workflow, clause libraries, and the Copilot Contract Review Agent Cross-functional partnership: work closely with Project Managers, Project Accounting, and Business Development; support go/no-go and fee-development decisions Training & enablement:  lead PM training on contractual and insurance risk Team leadership: ability to build the function's capacity as volume grows, supervise and develop risk staff Education & Experience: Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 7+ years of contract administration, contract management, or risk management experience Strong command of corporate insurance programs within a professional services and/or architecture and engineering (A&E) environment Experience reviewing and negotiating engineering, architectural, and design-professional contracts strongly preferred Professional risk management designation such as RMP, ARM, CRM, or similar certification preferred Demonstrated ability to negotiate directly with clients and brokers and to prioritize in a high-volume environment Proven ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a high-volume environment Previous people leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel   Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities: This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
