South Lyon Animal Clinic is excited to add a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our fun-loving, team-oriented practice where flexibility, collaboration and high-quality medicine go hand in hand. We are a multi-doctor, small animal/exotic hospital with a sister locations in Walled Lake and Farmington Hills. Our team is happy-go-lucky, supportive and always ready to help each other out. Responsibilities: As a Licensed Veterinary Technician , you are an important part of our clinical team and your duties will include: Assisting veterinarians during patient exams, treatments, and surgeries. Administering medications, vaccinations, and therapeutic treatments. Performing diagnostic tests, including radiography, bloodwork, and urinalysis. Monitoring anesthesia and providing post-operative care. Conducting dental cleanings and using digital dental radiography. Educating clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and post-care instructions. Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring a clean, organized clinic environment. Qualifications: Experience: Licensed Veterinary Technician Required (LVT) and at least 1 year of experience as an LVT Skills: Strong diagnostic, technical, and communication abilities. Mindset: A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care. Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
