High Voltage is actively seeking an experienced Senior Unreal Programmer to join our rapidly growing Engineering team. As a Gameplay Programmer at High Voltage, you will play a vital role in driving the development of future gameplay features. Here are some of the exciting responsibilities you'll have: Work closely with art and design to create and iterate on gameplay features Use rapid prototyping while ensuring that strong architectural and algorithmic decisions are made Write robust, understandable code and systems that are designed for long term use and maintenance. Improve existing gameplay systems by diagnosing and fixing networking and gameplay issues. Requirements Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience 5-8+ years of experience working with Unreal Engine (both in UE4 and UE5) in the gaming industry Experience developing games professionally on PC and consoles with shipped titles A keen analytical mind, with strong problem-solving skills Strong C++ and Epic Blueprint skills and the ability to code and architect gameplay mechanics and tools Strong math skills Well versed in games and the ability to articulate what is strong/weak about the design of existing games (an interest in online games is preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal) Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and able to work independently Passion for video games Benefits As a member of our team, you'll enjoy the following: Opportunity to work on some of the biggest AAA games in the industry Great work-life balance Collaborative and casual work environment Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision RRSP matching Salary range: $92,500-$132,500 CAD This position is not an actual vacancy and is contingent on project needs. *Whilst this position is being offered on a remote basis, we are only able to consider applicants who are currently located in ON.
