We need a Senior Software Engineer to own and improve high-scale backend systems written in Go, Python, Java, and Scala. This person will work closely with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to design robust, reliable, and performant services that directly impact millions of users. If you like solving complex problems with data processing pipelines and distributed systems, this role puts you at the heart of building our data future. How You’ll Find Success You take full ownership of complex systems from design to deployment, delivering reliable, scalable solutions. You write clean, well-tested code and champion quality across the team. You mentor others and actively share your knowledge to level up peers. You navigate trade-offs pragmatically, balancing velocity with maintainability. You communicate clearly and influence product and tech decisions with transparency. You spot technical risks early and propose solutions before issues arise. You thrive working across multiple languages and frameworks, adapting your skills to get the job done. How You’ll Grow Gain experience leading large, distributed services used in production at scale. Deepen your expertise in multi-language codebases (Go, Python, Java, Scala) across diverse data systems. Develop leadership skills by mentoring engineers and influencing cross-team architectures. Collaborate with cross-functional partners (data science, product) to shape product roadmaps. Expand your impact by driving reliability, automation, and operational excellence initiatives. Things You’ll Do Own the design and end-to-end delivery of key data enrichment services that process millions of data events daily. Improve system architecture to enhance reliability, scalability, and performance of data pipelines. Mentor and guide team members through reviews, knowledge sharing, and pairing sessions to promote best practices. Collaborate with product and operations teams to identify and mitigate technical risks early. Drive improvements in testing, monitoring, CI/CD, and automation to reduce operational friction. Influence technical roadmap decisions and contribute to cross-team initiatives that enhance platform capabilities. What We’re Looking For On Your Resume Demonstrated success owning and delivering complex backend services in a production environment. Strong software development skills with production experience Proven ability to design scalable, low-latency, distributed data processing systems. Experience mentoring others and influencing engineering practices and decisions. Track record of identifying and reducing technical debt and operational risk. Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
