To learn more, visit www.inmobi.com Manager - Advertising Platform Strategy - (Google, Meta, TikTok, Bing) Overview of the Role The best advertising platforms are built by people who have lived the work they are automating. At Accelerate, we are building a platform that abstracts and intelligently operationalises everything a skilled practitioner does across the major walled garden platforms — and to do that credibly, we need someone who has done that work at a high level, for real advertisers, over a sustained period of time. As Senior Media Buyer, you will be Accelerate's in-house platform authority — the practitioner voice embedded within the product and engineering organisation. You will bring firsthand expertise in how campaigns are planned, built, managed, and optimised across Google, Meta, TikTok, Snap, and other major platforms, along with a deep understanding of how agencies operationalise this work on behalf of advertisers. You will use that expertise not only to run live campaigns that test and validate Accelerate's capabilities, but to directly inform the product decisions that determine what gets built and how. This is a role for someone who is ready to take everything they have learned from years of active platform work and use it to build something — a product that makes their expertise available to thousands of advertisers who do not yet have it. You will report directly to the Head of Product, Accelerate, and be embedded within the core product organisation. The role is based in Bengaluru. The Impact You Will Make Serve as the Platform Intelligence Authority for Accelerate You will be the definitive internal reference for how the major walled garden platforms function in practice — their structures, their behaviours, their constraints, and the operational realities that experienced practitioners navigate daily but that documentation rarely captures accurately. When the product or engineering team needs to understand how something actually works on a platform, you will be the first and most reliable source of that understanding. Run Live Campaigns to Test and Validate the Product You will actively manage campaigns across platforms through Accelerate as features are developed and iterated — not as a demonstration exercise, but as a genuine quality mechanism. Your hands-on testing will surface where the product meets the standard set by native platform experiences and where it falls short, generating structured, specific feedback that engineering teams can act on with confidence. Translate Operational Expertise into Product Direction You will convert practitioner knowledge — accumulated through years of active campaign management and agency workflows — into product input that is precise, credible, and actionable. The goal is to ensure that what Accelerate builds reflects how advertisers and agencies actually operate, not how they are assumed to operate based on external research or documentation alone. Bring Agency Workflow Intelligence into the Build A significant portion of digital advertising spend flows through agencies, and the way agencies plan, execute, and report on campaigns for their clients involves operational workflows, approval structures, and platform conventions that are invisible to those who have not worked within them. You will bring that understanding into Accelerate's product development — ensuring the platform is built with genuine awareness of how agencies work and what they need to operate efficiently on behalf of their clients. Be a Builder, Not Just a Practitioner The most distinctive aspect of this role is the opportunity to translate your expertise into something that scales beyond what any individual practitioner can do. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to shape how Accelerate encodes platform knowledge, automates complex workflows, and makes sophisticated advertising capability accessible to SMBs and agencies who do not have a team of specialists behind them. Your experience is the raw material. The product is what it becomes. The Experience We Require 4–7 Years of Hands-On Campaign Management Across Major Walled Garden Platforms You have managed live advertising campaigns across Google, Meta, and at least one of TikTok, Snap, or Pinterest — actively, at a practitioner level, over a sustained period. You understand these platforms with the depth that comes from daily operation, not from certification programmes or strategic oversight. Your knowledge of how each platform behaves in practice — including where it is inconsistent with its own documentation — is a core asset you bring to this role. Grounded Understanding of the US Advertising Market Your experience is rooted in the context of US-based advertisers and the agencies that serve them. You understand how the US market approaches digital advertising — the priorities, the conventions, the performance standards, and the competitive dynamics that shape how campaigns are built and evaluated. This market fluency is as important as your platform fluency. Deep Familiarity with Agency Operational Workflows You have worked within or in close partnership with agencies managing campaigns on behalf of advertisers, and you understand the operational workflows this involves — how accounts are structured, how work is divided across teams, how reporting and optimisation processes are run, and what the platform-level conventions are that experienced agency practitioners rely on. You understand not just what agencies do, but how and why they do it. A Practitioner's Understanding of What Makes Platforms Work Beyond executing campaigns, you have developed genuine intuition for why things work the way they do on each platform — what drives performance, what creates friction, where automation helps and where it introduces risk, and what the experience of managing campaigns at scale on native platforms reveals that a first-time user would never see. You bring this understanding as a form of institutional knowledge, not as a checklist of tactics. Comfort Working Within a Product and Engineering Environment This role is embedded in a product organisation. You will participate in feature design discussions, translate operational knowledge into structured product requirements, and work iteratively with engineers who may have limited advertising domain knowledge. You communicate precisely, document clearly, and are genuinely motivated by the prospect of making your expertise programmable and scalable through a product. Intellectual Curiosity and a Builder's Orientation You are drawn to this role not because it is a media buying position, but because it is an opportunity to use media buying expertise to build something consequential.
