If you want to climb aboard the rocketship and help us revolutionise global health systems, astronomical opportunities await.     Position Purpose:  Responsible for executing and maintaining automated and manual test suites. Has a good understanding of testing techniques and approaches and is comfortable with contemporary software development practices and dealing with constant change. Provides constructive feedback to others and assertively challenges assumptions on a per occasion basis.     As part of a project team, the Associate Test/Quality Assurance Engineer will interact with project team members to ensure the solution is fully tested, meeting all customer requirements, and passing all acceptance criteria. The Quality Analyst plays an essential role in helping the project team, meeting the customer’s expectations. Works on fast iteration cycles and tight deadlines using an agile/scrum methodology.    The Associate Test/Quality Assurance Engineer works collaboratively with our internal teams and product owner on design, development, and delivery of our business solutions contributing towards the execution of manual and automated tests and ensure our code is of the highest quality; tackles complex infrastructure challenges with creative automation and configuration management solutions; helps improve, expand the coverage of deployment automation.     Success in this Role looks like…  Give suggestions on improvements of the application  Report, track, investigate and manage defects  Takes input from leaders and critically evaluates product and testing requirements and decisions  Consistently takes responsibility for delivery of quality outcomes in a sustainable fashion.   Develops healthy relationships in the team     Business Unit:  North America Professional Services.    Key Relationships:  Internal: Project Manager, Solution Architect, Test/QA Lead  External: Client, Third Party Vendors    Essential Functions:  Coordinates and performs tests at the quality control stage of the solution implementation lifecycle   Gathers and studies information regarding the business problem, solution requirements and customer expectations  Translate business/system requirements into effective test scenarios and test cases that will provide assurance of the quality of the system   Maintain requirements traceability so it is clear what requirements are being validated with test cases  Execute manual and automated test cases according to plan and document testing results. Confirm solution meets requirements; identify, qualify, and document any defects  Studies data collected during testing and evaluates the validity of the results  Perform exploratory testing to identify potential issues/defects that may not be documented in the requirements  Create and develop appropriate data for the test scenarios and test cases that enables the effective execution of test cases  Support project team and be an advocate for the quality of the solutions  Advise Test Lead of potential issues, risks and impacts associated with the solution  Identifies and analyses issues, bugs, defects and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple software solutions/products; recommends and facilitates solutions to issues  Continues testing and analysis until results are within acceptable  product requirements and specifications    Behavioural and Technical Capabilities:  Task-focused:  Perseveres and drives for results when faced with difficulties and setbacks. Develops automated tests conforming to industry standards  Interprets security, clinical safety and privacy policies and contributes to team standards and guidelines that comply with the policy. Evaluates and uses advice and guidance on security strategies to manage identified risks  Keeps up to date with relevant technologies, testing techniques and test approaches. Pro-actively shares their knowledge within the team and actively participates within the wider testing and software development communities  Works under minimal supervision. Has good self- awareness and exercises personal responsibility. Plans own work to meet objectives in a timely and efficient manner      Relevant Experience:  3-5 years in software testing in relevant technologies   Experience with testing and configuration management tools and techniques a plus  Experience testing web-based solutions and data integration solutions  Experience using testing tools and issue/defect tracking tools  Preferred understanding of technical concepts including HTTP, HTML, web services, XML, javascript, messaging, Linux, Oracle DB, and SQL  Software development experience preferred–programming on java, javascript, cucumber, selenium, etc  Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and continuous integration tools  Experience in designing test plans, test scenarios and test activities  Exposure to big data technologies a plus – Apache Spark, Elastic search, Cassandra  Healthcare domain expertise working with data/analytics technologies is a bonus    Education and Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or engineering preferred
