As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will take the lead on complex projects, mentor less experienced engineers, and drive initiatives focused on continuous improvement in Linux and storage operations. Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize integrated Linux and storage solutions for high performance and reliability. Troubleshoot complex system and storage issues and provide swift resolutions to incidents. Automate deployment, configuration, and management processes for Linux systems and storage solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system integration and functionality. Monitor system performance and storage utilization to identify and implement improvements. Lead initiatives focused on best practices in system security, storage management, and performance enhancement. Provide mentorship and training for junior engineers in Linux and storage best practices. Stay current with industry trends and advancements related to Linux and storage technologies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications in Linux and Storage administration preferred. 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering with a focus on Linux and storage environments. In-depth understanding of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL) and storage technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS, cloud storage solutions). Proven experience in performance tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting for both systems and storage. Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation tasks. Experience with storage management software and tools, as well as configuration management frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and security standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
