About the role The role will be around designing and benchmarking new protocols for quantum error correction across a distributed quantum architecture. Successful candidates will work in a collaborative team of theorists and programmers, with support from theoretical and experimental physicists. Responsibilities - What You'll be doing Developing new protocols for distributed quantum error correction. Benchmarking protocols and designs through numerical simulations. Developing code as part of a team. Communicating with internal and external stakeholders. Representing the company externally through publications, patents, and conferences. Requirements Your skills, qualifications and experience Essential PhD in quantum computing or related area, or equivalent industry experience. Track record of high-quality publications. Ability to work in a team and with other cross-functional teams. Experience with programming in Python. Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external partners. Desirable (nice to have, but not required) Research experience in quantum error correction. Experience with quantum programming languages such as Qiskit and Cirq.
