The Opportunity We are looking for a marketing specialist in Tokyo to support the marketing of KOMODO’s game titles. In this position, you will plan and execute marketing initiatives to deliver the appeal of our games to more users, with a focus on the Japanese market. Your role will be to design communication strategies across various channels, taking into account the entire user journey—from discovering the title, becoming interested, to actually playing the game. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of user trends in Japan and work closely with internal team members to move initiatives forward with creativity and execution skills. You will also be expected to review campaign results using data and continuously improve by applying what you learn to future actions. This position involves listening to users and supporting the growth of awareness and the development of a fanbase for our titles through marketing activities. Responsibilities Planning fun and effective marketing campaigns to connect with customers Understanding customer trends and the latest game trends in Japan Developing overall marketing strategies tailored to each region in collaboration with other KOMODO team members Monitoring our products and brand performance Defining and evaluating campaign success using scientific methods Traveling for meetings and events Planning and proposing promotional and sales strategies for game titles published by KOMODO Requirements Japanese language proficiency: Native Level Over 3 years of marketing experience in the Japanese market, in the video game or manga/media entertainment industry Knowledge of Japanese culture and history Excellent communication skills Experience in digital media buying is a plus Ability to generate creative ideas within a team Motivation to work in the game or manga industry English communication skills are a plus Benefits Performance-based ProfitsSharing KOMODO Special Leave ( 5-business day Summer holiday, 7 business Winter holiday, 1-day Birthday holiday, and 1 day Game Launch Day ) Paid leave by Japanese labor laws.
