Position Summary: ParetoHealth helps employers control one of their largest and fastest-growing expenses: healthcare. Our platform brings together risk management, cost containment, data, analytics, technology, and a diverse partner ecosystem to lower costs, improve outcomes, and create greater predictability. Our next opportunity is to transform these products, capabilities, and workflows into a simpler, more unified, and differentiated platform experience. We are seeking a VP of Product to lead this evolution. This leader will shape product strategy, strengthen how technology and data drive the business, and build the talent, systems, and operating model required to scale. Key opportunities include simplifying how customers buy, implement, and operate self-funded health plans; advancing automated, data-driven underwriting; turning healthcare data into actionable intelligence; and identifying the next generation of products that improve customer outcomes and company performance. The VP will inherit an experienced product organization spanning Underwriting, Customer Experience, and Data & Analytics products. This is an opportunity to strengthen and scale an established team—developing its leaders, clarifying operating models, and improving cross-functional execution—while helping define how ParetoHealth creates value for customers over the next decade. Key Responsibilities: Lead and Scale the Product Organization Provide leadership across product management teams spanning underwriting, customer experience, and data and analytics products. Develop product leaders and create clear career paths, expectations, and accountability. Evaluate organizational structure and make recommendations regarding team design, ownership, and future growth. Build a high-performance culture focused on outcomes, customer value, and execution excellence. Build the Product Operating System Establish scalable operating models for planning, prioritization, roadmap management, execution, stakeholder engagement, and product reviews. Create frameworks for business cases, investment decisions, product quality, and success measurement. Improve collaboration across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Operations, Commercial, Finance, and other key functions. Increase transparency, predictability, and consistency across the product development process. Shape Product Strategy and Investment Decisions Partner with executive leadership to define the future direction of Pareto's platform. Develop informed points of view on market opportunities, customer needs, and strategic investments. Lead and support business case development for major initiatives and product investments. Help drive build-versus-buy decisions and portfolio prioritization. Improve Customer and Internal Experiences Drive improvements across the experiences that matter most to customers, consultants, and internal teams. Simplify complex workflows related to implementation, reporting, decision support, renewals, and ongoing account management. Ensure product investments create measurable value for customers and the business. Partner with Analytics and Engineering to Deliver Results Partner closely with Analytics and Engineering leadership to improve execution velocity and delivery quality. Ensure product management teams are focused on the highest-value opportunities. Create alignment between strategic priorities and delivery plans. What Success Looks Like: Product management teams operate with greater clarity, accountability, and consistency. Product strategy and investment decisions become more structured and data-driven. Cross-functional planning and execution improve across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Commercial teams. Underwriting capabilities become increasingly automated and scalable. Customers and consultants experience simpler implementation, renewals, reporting, and decision-making workflows. Analytics products become a more meaningful driver of customer value and differentiation. Pareto establishes a clearer vision for the future evolution of its platform. Required Skills & Qualifications: 10+ years of product management experience with significant leadership and management responsibility. Experience leading product managers and product management leaders. Track record of building and scaling product management organizations. Experience creating operating models, planning processes, and defining and iterating on organizational structure. Strong strategic thinking combined with practical execution capability. Ability to influence across functions and operate effectively in complex organizations. Familiarity with fast-moving, startup environments. Experience with enterprise software, operational systems, healthcare, insurance, fintech, or other complex regulated industries is preferred.
